The reasons are as follows: Avoidance of hydrogen embrittlement risks As a high-nickel alloy C276 bolts can be compromised by improper pickling or electro-galvanizing; these processes may introduce hydrogen atoms, thereby increasing the risk of hydrogen embrittlement under specific high-stress operating conditions.

- Due to their exceptional corrosion resistance, Alloy C276 fasteners are primarily used in extremely harsh, highly corrosive industrial environments where standard stainless steels (such as 304 or 316L) and even duplex steels fail: Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) Systems, Oil and Gas Extraction, Chemical and Petrochemical Processing, Pharmaceuticals and Fine Chemicals, Pulp and Paper Industry, Marine Engineering and Desalination.
