12-Point FLANGE BOLTS
Introduction to 12-POINT Bolts
Standards and SURFACE TREATMENT
- IFI 115 is a standard developed through the procedures of Industrial Fasteners Institute. IFI-115 was first published in 1970 and revised and reissued in 1986, 2002 and 2014. Screws made to IFI-115 are interchangeable with parts made to SAE J58.
- PTFE coating is a fluorine coating based on polytetrafluoroethylene resin, known for its corrosion resistance and non adhesiveness. This coating can withstand the highest continuous use temperature (260°C [500°F]), the lowest friction coefficient, good wear resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance. DuPont’s registered trademark Teflon™ for fluoropolymer products. PTFE industrial coatings are commonly used in fields such as chemical, mechanical, electronic, and medical industries.
Materials and practicality
- ISO 898-1 Mechanical properties of fasteners made of carbon steel and alloy steel. Part 1: Bolts, screws and studs with specified property classes -Coarse thread and fine pitch thread. Class 12.9 minimum tensile strength of 1220 MPa and a hardness between 39-44 HRC.
- 12.9 grade bolts are the highest grade of high-strength bolts (usually referred to as ultra high strength bolts), with extremely high tensile strength and hardness, widely used in core mechanical parts that can withstand severe vibrations, high loads, and alternating stresses (such as engine cylinder heads, heavy lifting machinery, aerospace structural components, etc.)

12 Point FLANGE BOLTS used in the automotive industry
Excellent performance visualization
Showcase the use of our high-temperature alloy material 12 Point FLANGE BOLTS in engine connecting rods, which connects the piston and crankshaft connecting rod ends and withstands severe tensile stress at thousands of revolutions per minute (RPM). After years of evaluation by R&D engineers, it can operate stably and is very suitable for the current working conditions.
Full Traceability
At HOTFORGE INDUSTRIAL LIMITED, traceability is a complete system linking each fastener to its raw material heat number, MTC (3.1/3.2), and production batch. From forging and heat treatment to machining, surface finishing, and inspection, all processes are recorded and fully traceable.
Each bolt is also marked on the head with manufacturer logo, material grade, and strength class for easy identification. All test results and production data are stored and connected to each batch, ensuring full transparency and reliable quality control for industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, and power generation.
Third party laboratory
At HOTFORGE INDUSTRIAL LIMITED, every production batch is fully verified through both our in-house laboratory and accredited third-party testing facilities. Each batch undergoes strict inspection and testing, including mechanical properties, chemical composition, and material identification, ensuring full compliance with international standards. The combination of independent internal testing and external third-party validation provides dual assurance of quality, reliability, and traceability, delivering consistent and trustworthy performance for critical applications in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, and power generation.
